Day Care Desk started because we watched a daycare director spend hours every day on work that should take minutes. So we built the tool she needed.

Our Story

Day Care Desk was built by a developer whose wife is a daycare director. Every evening, he'd hear about the same frustrations: an hour spent on the morning schedule, training certifications discovered expired after the fact, employee files scattered across binders, spreadsheets, and sticky notes.

The tools that existed were either generic HR platforms forced to fit daycare workflows, or clunky legacy systems that cost a fortune and still required paper backups. Nothing was built from the ground up for how a daycare director actually works.

So we built it. Day Care Desk is the tool we wished existed — a single app where a director can manage their entire center's operations, from building the daily schedule to tracking training compliance, in minutes instead of hours.
